Description
Retrograde Orbit is the very first pedal we have ever made and we’re very proud of it! It takes the delay found of the WaveBoy and turns it into a guitar pedal! The delay is built around a variable sample rate (using a variable clocked DAC), which is the ‘retrograde’ part; and a ring buffer as “memory” for the delay, which is the ‘orbit’ part.
This gives the delay a unique character and allows you to use a fairly modern sounding digital delay or crunch it in a forest of aliasing. The feedback allows for near infinite delay as well as full on cacophonous feedback.
The input drive allows for standard volume control into some op-amp saturation. For guitar pickups, this can be somewhat light. When using the pedal with line level sources (like synthesizers), it can be driven more heavily. It supports an internal 9V battery but can also be powered by a standard 9V center negative supply common with most pedals. When using a battery, it is connected only when there is a 1/4″ TS cable plugged into the input side.
